"센트럴워싱턴주립대, 학생중심의 맞춤형 교육 제공"
The Central Washington University (CWU) has its professors pay greater attention to each student
with relatively small-sized classes.
“In larger universities, many freshmen and sophomore courses are taught by teaching assistants
who are graduate students, but in CWU, 98 percent of courses are taught by regular faculty members
with Ph.D.s,” said Michael Launius, an assistant vice president of CWU in a recent interview.
미국의 큰 규모의 대학들은 보통 강의를 조교들이 진행하는 경우가 많고 학부학생들에게 관심을
많이 보이지 않는데 이와는 대조적으로 센트럴워싱턴주립대는 98% 이상이 박사학위를 소유한
정교수들이 강의를 직접 진행하며 학부학생들에게 많은 관심을 가지고 있습니다.
